Charissa Thompson
Thompson was a former FOX Sports host who left FOX Sports for Yahoo Sports in 2010, was also the host of Versus Sports. She anchored Versusfor its NHL studio coverage, and recorded web video for the wildly sought-after Yahoo platform. It also led Yahoo Sports' participation in major sporting events, such as those of the 2010 Winter Olympics. FIFA World Cup. Super Bowl XLV. and BCS National Championship. The success in both venues has led her to joining ESPN in August 2011, in which she was selected as host of the network's newly conceived show for the afternoon "Numbers Never lie." In July 2012, she made the transition to the show that became known as "SportsNation," enjoying a successful run that lasted until she left the network to come back to Los Angeles for the launch of FS1 in May of 2013. Thompson is an avid sports fan, but she has shown the flexibility needed to be able to work in entertainment. After a series of part-time opportunities her name was chosen as a permanent co-host for the late-night edition of Hollywood news magazine "Extra," in June 2014. Filming episodes took place at Universal Studios and also worked at awards shows, celebrity events and various other gatherings.
